7 Ways to Reboot Your Brain

The first step to rebooting is recognizing that something about the way your brain processes isn’t supporting you to live your life the way you want to. Fellowship Spotlight
Mystee Spencer-Prince, MD

Dr. Mystee Spencer-Prince studied medicine at the University of West Indies (UWI), St Augustine, Trinidad where she graduated at the top of her class. In June of 1998, she moved to the Bahamas to start an internship at the Princess Margaret Hospital. In 2002, she pursued sub-specialty training in Family Medicine at the UWI Nassau Campus, where she received both her Diploma and Master of Science degree.

After 11 years of public service, Dr. Spencer-Prince became a certified health coach to enhance the level of care the conventional medicine model offered. As a Fellow of AIHM's Integrative Health and Medicine Program, she continues that work in private practice. One of her goals is to assist the Bahamian Community in achieving their best health. She is doing this by guiding them to adopt a holistic approach to health and wellness via lifestyle education and facilitating behavioral change through safe and scientifically proven techniques.

Mystee has been happily married to Sheldon for over 19 years and they have four remarkable children. Her hobbies include baking healthier breads, gardening, meeting people and traveling.

A portion of Mystee's Fellowship tuition was graciously funded by Integrative Therapeutics.

Meditation: The Mind’s Avenue to Influence Health at the Genetic Level

DNA turns out to be incredibly dynamic and responsive to a person's lifestyle. Genes regulate every chemical reaction inside a cell, and as a result, thousands of variations in gene activity are possible.
It would be tremendous if a person can make choices that lead immediately and directly to enhancing bodily functions from the genetic level. To follow Deepak’s synopsis of recent research regarding meditation and unlocking or influencing Genes, click here.
